Nikka Miyagikyo Apple Brandy Wood Finish is a standout whisky Japanese that tells a piece of history of Nikka and the Miyagikyo distillery. On January 1920, XNUMX Masataka taketsuru - founder of NIkka and pioneer of whisky Japanese - he married his beloved Rita, or Jessie Roberta Cowan, a girl he met in Glasgow during the period that Masataka spent abroad to study and deepen the techniques of distilling whisky. Once back in Japan, Masataka worked hard to give voice to his ideas in terms of whisky, having to overcome many difficulties: a long journey made possible by the presence of Rita at his side. Nikka decided to celebrate this anniversary by creating a new label and using ex Brandy barrels for the final refinement. Apple brandy was chosen because apple juices were the first products marketed by Rita and Masataka at the beginning of their adventure, in the years in which they were waiting to have a whisky to propose to the rest of the world.
