Akashi Red is a stunning entry into both the production of whisky Japanese is an introduction to the joys of this distillery, namely White Oak, a short walk from the city of Akashi from which several whisky which are now known by connoisseurs from all over the world. The White Oak distillery was born as a sake distillery until a few decades ago when, trying to broaden their horizons and strengthened by the perfectionism that only the Japanese land knows, the management thought of also undertaking the distillation of whisky. After several years of experiments, the Akashi line is now a certainty in the Japanese panorama and this Akashi Red is a blended with a short refinement that is not declared on the label but which includes two years of aging in ex bourbon barrels before a year in barrels ex sherry.

TASTE: soft and enveloping with ripe fruit, peach and honey, spices on the finish
