Amrut Port Pipe Peated Single Cask #3882 is an Indian single malt from a single cask, selected for a special occasion, namely the 70 years of activity of Velier, the Italian importer of Amrut and other brands of whisky and distillates. The selection is particular because it comes from the most famous distillery in India, an immense nation where it is made whisky of high quality for about forty years, or since the Amrut distillery itself in 1982 decided to devote itself completely to this slice of the market, leaving out the other products.
The choice was successful because in a few years Amrut has built an important credibility and its own whisky it is in demand all over the world, thanks to the constant search for extreme quality. As if that weren't enough to make this selection even more interesting, Velier decided to exploit a single barrel that previously contained Port wine, a rare peculiarity in the world of whisky.
