Whisky Barr An Uisce Wicklow Hills
BOTTLE NOT CARTONED 700ml
Barr An Uisce Wicklow Hills is a unique selection we are proud of - the small distillery that produces this whiskey it is in fact quite recent as a foundation, having only come into the world in 2016 from the union of the efforts and minds of Jason Stubbs and Ian Jones, longtime friends who came together in this project after making other life choices. The distillery is located in the Irish town of Barraniskey, a small town on the coast of Ireland looking towards Scotland: the two founders have decided to maintain a precise identity and in fact, also due to the small size of the plant, the distillations take place in small batches in an artisanal way, giving prominence to the differences of the raw materials.
After the first experiments Jason and Ian began to give voice to their core range, slowly inserting a small number of labels which in reality immediately made themselves appreciated by critics and in international competitions, immediately focusing the attention of enthusiasts on this project newborn. This Barr An Uisce Wicklow Hills is obtained from the union of whisky of barley for 21% and of whisky of wheat for the remainder, with an aging of a few years in ex bourbon casks before a final passage of three months in ex sherry oloroso casks. A nice way to welcome this distillery.
