Benriach
The name Benriach derives from the Gaelic "the hill of the red deer." The distillery was founded in 1898 in the heart of Speyside between Rothes and Elgin, in the North East of Scotland, by John Duff, in an ideal location thanks to its proximity to the source of Bourmade water and the Great North of Scotland Railways. The distillery has grown over time, becoming a point of reference thanks to its large malting floor with more than a hundred years of production history and its four stills. In 1972, the historic year for Benriach, a peaty single malt is regularly produced, an unusual style for Speyside, expanding the range in a surprising way in terms of quality and quantity. Much attention is given to aging, thanks to a very diversified mix of barrels that characterize each of their production is unique.
