Whisky Black Velvet 12 Year Old Onyx


BOTTLE NOT CARTONED 700ml

In 1951, when this was born whisky was supposed to be called Black Label, but Jack Napier, the first Master Distiller, after having tasted the first batch, decided to call it Black Velvet, due to its incredible velvety softness. The Black Velvet Onyx blend is placed in ex Bourbon barrels where the whisky is aged for 12 years, Onyx also contains some whisky older. The name Onyx refers to Onyx, a black colored stone.

TASTE: Sweetness of caramel, spicy notes of rye; in the finish persistent traces of grapefruit and dulce de leche are revealed. 

AGING: American oak barrels ex Bourbon.
