Bladnoch
The reality of Bladnoch was born in 1817, when John and Thomas McClelland obtained the license to be able to distill the whisky on their farm in the Lowland region of Scotland. Subsequently, the family distillery continued to expand for almost a century until it became the so-called "Queen of the Lowlands"; in 1956 the company Bladnoch Distillery Limited was founded and the stills that had stopped during the war were put back into operation. In 1983 the acquired by the Arthur Bell & Sons company, which remained in command until 1993, when Raymond and Colin Armstrong took over the reins of the distillery making it a completely private reality.
In 2015, the Australian Dave Prior buys the company and begins a period of restructuring that ends in 2017; in the same year the production of the distillery resumes under the supervision of the Master Distiller Ian MacMillan.
