Whisky Catoctin Creek Roundstone Rye Cask Proof
BOTTLE NOT CARTONED 700ml
Catoctin Creek presents its new line of rye-based bottlings and above all full grade. The distillery of the spouses Harris, Becky and Scott, was founded in 2009 and immediately had a very clear strategy in mind, namely the re-proposition of whiskey drunk and produced in Virginia before Prohibition. Catoctin Creek is also the first distillery to be opened and licensed to distill in Loudoun County since Prohibition nearly a century ago. Since 2009, the Harrises have set up a very ambitious project to recover a certain type of taste in the whiskeyobviously with the help of the development of technology and the expertise of Becky, chemical engineer and distillation manager.
The distillery also produces gin and fruit brandy, thanks to Becky's ability to translate any raw material into a distillate. The bottle below is special because it allows you to savor the goodness of whiskey of Catoctin Creek full degree, i.e. above 58 degrees and without dilution with water, with whiskey which comes directly from the barrel.
TASTE: Intense, soft despite the percentage of alcohol, citrus, lemon, then vanilla, cereals, dried fruit and spices are highlighted.
AGING: Virgin American oak charred barrels.
