Rum online sale Clément
Clement
The Clément company is located in the south-east of the island of Martinique and was founded at the end of the 800th century by Homère Clément. The product he created was a new rum, which was born directly from pure sugar cane juice, fermented and then distilled. During the First World War, increasing the demand for alcohol also increased this production of rum. Then handed over to his sons, the distillery refined the distillation technique of this rum and branded it with the name Clément before exporting it throughout France.
This was a further success and Clément products have also established themselves in Europe and America. Martinique, being a French department, has for all its products the AOC trademark denomination of controlled origin. Even if today the distillery no longer belongs to the historical family, it still maintains the heritage, culture and passion of the Clément family high. The Clément maison was therefore only revitalized with investments, both to create new cellars where these spirits can be aged and in the accommodation that is now able to accommodate tourists and rum enthusiasts. All the historic buildings of the Clément company are all classified as assets of the Ministry of Culture.
