Dewar's 12 Year Old is one of the best-known blended whiskeys in the world, thanks to an extremely traditional recipe that cannot fail any palate: after about a century of experimentation with the purchase and blending of whisky from various Scottish distilleries, Master Blender Tom Aitken has perfected this blended making it quite popular. A blended whisky kind and polite which should also be considered as an excellent ingredient for a varied choice of cocktails based on whisky. Dewar's was founded in 1846 by John Dewar to market spirits and wine, managing to attract the attention of many tasters around the world with careful management of its portfolio.

Today the series of whisky by Dewar's includes a line with an age indication – including this 12 Years – and a line dedicated to experiments, with whisky studied to deepen a certain aspect of the taste of the distillate.
