Diplomatico Selección de Familia was created to honor the experience of the distillery families who follow the Diplomatico rum project. The headquarters of Diplomatico rums is located in a truly strategic point in Venezuela to create rum of the highest quality. The area where the sugar cane grows that the company uses for its rums is a super fertile ground thanks to the numerous reserves of fresh spring water that descends directly from the Andes. Diplomatico Selección de Familia is an authentic and exclusive blend that is created following the traditional blend of virgin "honey" rum (cane syrup) and molasses rum. These rums have been carefully chosen, in fact the best reserve rums of the distillery have been chosen. For aging, another equally traditional step of the distillery is followed, namely that of aging these distillates in the temperate and humid climate of the Venezuelan territory.

In particular, the Diplomatico seleccion de familia rum, once all the reserve rums have been assembled, is aged in American oak barrels ex Bourbon and European oak barrels ex Sherry Oloroso. A well balanced rum is therefore created. On the nose there are notes of honey and red fruits but also notes of sweet spices such as vanilla and woody notes. Then accentuated are the warm and full-bodied scents on the palate reminiscent of brown sugar and fruit such as plum. Persistent and decisive notes of caramel and wood. Product that manages to amaze those who are approaching the world of rum but also for the most expert tasters of this distillate. 

TASTE: A very powerful and full taste. Its aromatic bouquet is broad and sophisticated. The notes are of ripe red fruit and wood, with intense notes of caramel and brown sugar.

AGING: American oak ex Bourbon barrels and European oak ex Sherry barrels.
