700ml BOTTLE
The Don Papa 10 Year Old rum is the most qualitatively important edition of all the Philippines. A distillate that is depopulating among rum enthusiasts and connoisseurs. Don Papa Rum 10 Year Old is the example of the perfect distillation of sugar cane molasses made in the Philippines on the Negros island. For this type of rum, the master blender has selected the most aromatic and complex molasses and then distilled them through the column process to preserve their organoleptic characteristics. In the case of the Don Papa 10 Years rum, the aging takes place in ex Bourbon American oak barrels whiskey toasted again, which give the distillate hints of dried fruit, cocoa and woody notes.
During its slow maturation an evaporation process takes place, filling the barrels by almost 40% but they are not filled, thus creating a unique distillate of its kind and absolutely concentrated in flavor and color. In fact, upon visual examination it reveals a dark and concentrated color tending to amber with mahogany nuances. Its exuberant taste encloses this perfect distillate and makes it classified as a fine distillate.
TASTE: Soft, vanilla with the presence of woody and concentrated hints of dried fruit and cocoa. Sweet spices like licorice are notable leaving some room for notes of red fruit and tropical fruit.
AGING: Charred barrels of American oak ex Bourbon.
