Everclear is a moonshine brand of the American company Luxco. Became legal only in 2010 moonshine is a whiskey unaged white, made mainly with corn.
Moonshine was born in the United States of America after the Civil War, when taxes were imposed on the production of whisky, therefore several farmers built stills in the woods and began to produce illegally whiskey at night; from this practice comes the name "moonshine".
