Glencadam
Glencadam opened its doors way back in 1825 in the ancient Scottish town of Brechin. It is currently the only distillery in Angus County, nestled in the Highland region. The name 'Glencadam' derives from the area known as 'the Caldhame estates', plots of land given to the boroughs of Brechin for the production of foodstuffs. Recognized among the most prestigious in the world, i whisky Glencadam have always maintained important quality levels, choosing the best raw materials and maintaining a purely artisanal approach in all stages of production. That's how all the whisky labeled Glencadam offer unique and inimitable organoleptic experiences; undoubtedly to be considered among the top of the range when it comes to Scotch Whisky. Glencadam mostly uses first-fill ex Bourbon casks, but the basic range also includes expressions aged in ex Port or ex Sherry casks. The distillery is owned by Angus Dundee, who bought it in 2003 from Allied Domecq.
