Glendalough Distillery

Glendalough Distillery was founded in 2011 by a group of friends with a passion for distilling, between County Wicklow and Dublin, with the aim of reviving craft distilling in Ireland. After much evening banter and debate about why there were no more craft distilleries in the birthplace of distilling, the friends were convinced to leave the safety of their day jobs, head to the mountains and seize a big break. Together they built a craft distillery near their favorite place in those mountains, Glendalough ("The Valley of Two Lakes"), one of the most beautiful valleys in Ireland. All the whiskey Glendalough are aged in casks that have contained Bourbon and aged in a second cask that is always different. The distillery is also home to a XNUMXth century monastery founded by St Kevin, the monk who inspired the symbol of Glendalough spirits.
