Whisky JP Wiser's 18 Year Old
BOTTLE NOT CARTONED 700ml
JP Wiser's 18 Year Old represents a unique opportunity to savor the taste of a whisky Canadian aged for 18 years: one of the oldest bottles available on the market. The JP Wiser story begins over a hundred years ago when John Philip Wiser produced one of the first whisky official Canadians. Legend has it that JP was the first to write on the Canadian label Whisky to signal to the whole world that the country had also started to get busy in distillation: a part that turned out to be relevant during Prohibition, when the United States illegally imported enormous quantities of whisky Canadian.
The choice not to put the "e" in the name derives from the parochialism between Canada and the USA, with the former preferring a Scottish origin for their will to distill. This JPWiser ages 18 years in oak barrels and is a blended blend of corn and rye with a small percentage of barley malt, produced by Hiram Walker in Ontario. As they said, it's hard to find one whisky Canadian with this stated age.
TASTE: Intense and of cooked fruit, spicy and ginger notes, then honey, dried fruit and cocoa.
AGING: New oak barrels, ex Bourbon barrels and ex barrels whisky Canadian.
