Johnnie Walker Double Black was launched in 2011 following its success in the travel retail channel. The Double Black remains faithful to the characteristics of the more classic Black Label, but accentuates the intensity and the smoky character through a higher component of whisky Islay and using for aging casks that have been heavily charred. 

TASTE: Intense and complex, the smoke of peat combines with the freshness of fruit and orange peel, then notes of vanilla and spices. The finish is warm and persistent.

AGING: Charred American ex Bourbon oak barrels.
