Kujira Whisky
Kujira Whisky is a range of whisky made at the Kumesen Syuzo Distilling Co, founded in 1952. The distillery began its production through the distillation of alcohol based on Indica rice and fermented by Black Koji, mainly used in the production of "awamori" (typical Okinawan liqueur). In the early 90s the distillery began to refine its products in American oak barrels that had contained Bourbon, thus the Kujira was born.
After more than 20 years of experience, the Whisky Single Grain Kujira has been perfected. Kujira is a uniquely Japanese product and is made with rice from a single distillery, produced in small batches with quality raw materials and the centuries-old tradition that Okinawa is famous for.
Japan's Ryukyu region is becoming what Kentucky is to US bourbon production, the nerve center for bourbon production. whisky Japanese, thanks to the quality of its waters and the age-old traditions in the art of distillation.
