Michter's Us 1 Toasted Barrel Rye is a limited edition bottle that perfectly illustrates the extreme desire to research within the Michter's distillery. First of all, the Michter's distillery is making headlines thanks to a series of products always focused on offering the best whiskey of Kentucky possible, thanks to research also on raw materials, followed by a global in-depth study on maturation techniques. In this specific case the additional refinement was selected from many different types of barrels and the choice fell on a particular format built specifically for Michter's, i.e. wood refined for 24 months in the air to lose humidity and then toasted according to specifications of the distillery. To add a personal touch, each barrel is bottled individually, so the final alcohol content can vary by a few degrees, making the drink even more special.

TASTE: dense and slightly toasted, hazelnut, vanilla and honey

AGING: in new oak barrels and finish in custom barrels
