Whisky Monkey Shoulder
BOTTLE NOT CARTONED 700ml
Monkey Shoulder is a Blended Malt Scotch Whisky, as it is the result of mixing three single malts, produced in the Dufftown area, in Speyside. The main component of the whisky it originates from the Kininvie distillery, owned by WIlliam Grant & Sons.
The name Monkey Shoulder derives from a negative effect that the work in the barley fields gave to the farmers, making them assume a monkey pose precisely because of the repetition of the same gesture in having to turn over the clods of the field, a pose that - from afar - made it appear these peasants like monkeys holding a hoe. Today work in the fields is largely mechanized and in order not to forget the painful past in this sector, the brand has remained unchanged.
