Mossburn Island Blended Malt is a peculiar blended malt due to the choice that the bottling company has made during its refinement. Mossburn in fact takes care of selecting and bottling whisky from various distilleries in Scotland and regularly, combining several barrels from different distilleries, gives life to unique products to which a period of aging in peculiar barrels is added, the signature of the company.

For the moment, Mossburn is busy marketing two versions of its blended: in this case, with Mossburn Island Blended Malt, the selection is dedicated to the distilleries of the Scottish Islands, responsible for whisky of great character, aged first in American oak barrels (the so-called American Standard Barrels with a capacity of 200 liters) and subsequently in special barrels specifically designed to enhance the character of the selection with wood from first-fill ex Bourbon barrels and the " heads”, the two heads of the barrel, obtained from virgin European oak barrels with an important toasting.
