Paul John Classic Select Cask represents one of the production peaks of Paul John's recent Indian distillery, named after the founder. Paul John has always been a fan of whisky and, having thoroughly studied the peculiarities of the whisky Scottish, has decided to embark on the first person in the enterprise of creating a whisky in his country of origin i.e. India. The experiments lasted ten years, from 1992 to 2002, until the first timid bottles of whisky Indians were seen on the British market and, a few years later, around the world.

The technological discoveries are avant-garde, as is the research on raw materials which include a six-row barley instead of the canonical two, also thanks to the origin from the Himalayan mountains. Aging in oak barrels also involves considerable evaporation, much higher than the Scottish and Japanese percentages, bringing the malt to accelerated maturation. This Paul John Classic Select Cask is a special edition because it is made up of ex bourbon barrels selected by hand and maintaining the barrel strength, to best enjoy this fruit of Indian stubbornness.

TASTE: dense and of good intensity, notes of dried fruit and caramel, together with a long spicy aftertaste
