Roe & Co Distillery
Roe&Co is a Diageo-owned brand born in 2017, so named to honor the memory of George Roe, pioneer of whiskey Irish. His distillery, dating back to 1757, was located on Thomas Street in Dublin, opposite the Guinness brewery and was one of the largest exporters of whiskey Irish; it was closed in 1926 after the crisis due to prohibition and civil riots for independence. All that remains of the original distillery is a windmill tower and a pear tree that still blooms today, which has become the inspiration for the new brand logo Roe & Co. In 2019 the new distillery was opened restoring and reusing the iconic Guinness Power House as a distillery.
