Zacapa El Alma is a special edition for the Heavenly Cask Collection range released in 2021 to honor one of the different barrels used in the aging of Zacapa Rums. The raw material that Zacapa uses for this rum is the first squeezing of virgin sugar cane.

In this case the Rum Zacapa El Alma is distilled in limited production and is a blend of rums aged between 6 and 24 years with the Solera Method making an additional refinement in barrels of ex whiskey American previously carbonized in direct flame thus giving the Rum decisive characteristics and deep enigmatic notes. The barrels used for the Solera Zacapa Method are American oak barrels, charred American oak and ex Sherry Oloroso barrels. The peculiarity of Zacapa Rums lies in the aging through Solera Method, which takes place at 2.300 meters above sea level where, thanks to the cooler and more humid climate, the aging process is delayed, making Zacapa Rums unmistakable.

For the packaging of Rum Zacapa, hand-woven palm mat bands are used, which give the bottles the Guatemalan authenticity.

TASTE: Notes of toasted almonds, cinnamon and sweet caramel; with a rich and complex character.
