This package was created to give the opportunity to taste these two rare products of the Shizuoka distillery: Shizuoka Pot Still "W" First Edition and Shizuoka Pot Still "K" First Edition

Shizuoka Pot Still "W" First Edition is a whisky of rare charm coming from the Shizuoka distillery, in Japan, founded in 2017 and in a short time rose to the headlines of the world of whisky. Shizuoka immediately focused on high quality products with a rather low number of bottles produced, so as to be able to select only the best barrels to use for their labels. Also being able to count on a discrete difference in the stills present in the company, Shizuoka has set up a project to discover these stills, entrusting each one with some labels, such as this Shizuoka Pot Still "W" First Edition: the W still is the direct heating alembic and for this whisky Both peated and unpeated Scottish barley malt and German barley malt were used. The refinement took place in virgin oak and ex bourbon barrels.

Shizuoka Pot Still "K" First Edition is a whisky to be considered a small monument to Japanese creativity and to a distillery – Shizuoka – which since 2017 has been starting an uphill road with charisma and resourcefulness, with results under the eyes of any enthusiast in the world. Shizuoka has focused its proposal on always high quality raw materials and on a wise use of technology, especially if connected to the two stills which, having different shapes, give different nuances to the spirit that comes out of them. In this way, with Shizuoka Pot Still "K" First Edition, the distillery wanted to give a taste of the K still with this first edition which is already collectible: this still comes from the Karuizawa distillery, closed in 2000 but responsible for whisky legends capable of fetching enormous sums at the most renowned auctions in the world. A beautiful way to carry on that legacy.
