Strathmill

In 1891 an old mill was transformed into a distillery initially called Glensisla-Glenlivet and then renamed in 1895 with the name of Strathmill, but it is said that already in 1823 the mill operated as a clandestine distillery. Like Stratishla is another distillery that has found a home in the important city of Keith, located on the banks of the River Isla (not to be confused with 'Islay'), away from the main streets of the city itself. It is rare to find single malt bottlings from Strathmill, renowned for its lighter distillate which leads to a wonderfully rich flavor when aged well in quality casks.
