Whisky Tenjaku Whisky

700ml BOTTLE

The Japanese distillation scene has been expanding tremendously in recent years, and this is Tenjaku Whisky is one of the last born: the distillery was founded a few years ago but the company that owns it, Tokuoka, was founded in 1874 as a company for the importation and distribution of alcoholic beverages. For some years, given the international interest in the whisky Japanese, the company decided to produce by itself, giving life to a brand, Tenjaku, with a rather limited line for now made up of Tenjaku Whisky, Tenjaku Pure Malt and Tenjaku Gin.

This Tenjaku Whisky it is a blend in the Japanese way, i.e. a distillate perfectly at home in a highball cocktail, i.e. a generous dose of ice and a soda to dilute the alcoholic impact. This drink is also used in gastronomy, constituting a valid alternative to beer and wine. In detail, this Tanjaku Whisky consists of 84% of whisky of wheat and 16% from whisky of malt, with an aging in oak barrels for a minimum of three years. As known, the Japanese distillation technique is known for its precision and the pursuit of absolute perfection, as it has always been in the Japanese DNA.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS ABOUT WHISKY TENJAKU WHISKY

Tenjaku is distilled in the city of Fuefuki, a town located in the eastern part of the Kofu basin. Looking towards Mt. Fuji and the southern mountains, the site of Tenjaku distillery is a blessed place surrounded by breathtaking nature with verdant forests, beautiful orchards, hot springs and pure water streams. Regarding the water used in distillation and dilution, the rather low mineral content present in the water of this area contributes to the creation of a whisky enveloping and easy to approach, with a balanced flavour.

The symbol represented on the bottle is the lark (hibari in Japanese), a bird that has become the symbol of the Kumamoto Prefecture and is often used as a nuptial message. The environment surrounding the distillery helps to imagine what we will have in the glass, that is a whisky son of the place where it was born, with the careful selection of raw materials - among which water is irreplaceable - and the vocation for perfectionism of the company that takes care of this spirit, curing it for years in wooden barrels from which only the best are selected to contribute to this blend.

Dealing with a whisky Japanese may still seem like a rare event, yet several distilleries are working hard, expanding production and producing for more days a year, just to give a way to find an answer to the huge demand that now comes from all over the world. For some, it is difficult to combine quantity with quality, yet Japan has taught us that even in times of stress and constant demand, it is important to focus on one's goals, i.e. to propose a whisky high quality, memorable, to be recommended and loved by anyone.
