Whisky Welche's Whisky Single Malt Tourbe
700ml BOTTLE
Welche's Whisky Single Malt Tourbè is today a unique opportunity to taste a whisky produced in an unprecedented area when it comes to barley distillate. We are in Alsace, home to great white, red and Classic Method wines, with a climate favorable to the development of quality wine. Build a distillery and partially convert it to the production of whisky it might seem like a gamble but the G.Miclo Distillery has decided to take this path and has been doing so since 2016 without a doubt.
The area is also famous for the production of fruit distillates, precisely due to the abundance of fruit trees and the relative presence of a distillery. The G.Miclo distillery was the first to offer a whisky of Alsace also with refinements in barrels of French wines, to maintain a certain link with the surrounding area. THE whisky of Myclo are natural, without the addition of extraneous elements, as well as not being cold filtered and using local spring water at almost a thousand meters above sea level to reach the alcoholic strengths typical of the whisky world.
TASTE: Intensely peaty, smoky notes and ripe fruit, then dried fruit and hazelnuts, with a spicy and peaty finish for a long time.
AGING: French oak barrels ex Sauternes (Château Clos Haut-Peyraguey 1er Grand Cru and Château Latrezotte).
