Writer's Tears Double Oak is a recent addition to the catalog of Writer's Tears, one of the best known companies in the creation of Irish Whiskey. Writer's Tears does not directly have a distillery to produce whiskey Irish, but sources from Ireland's main distilleries to create a line of limited and excellent quality products, able to satisfy every type of palate. The brand was created in 1999 by the Walsh family, well-known alcohol merchants in Ireland, to put a face to the family's desire to commercialize whiskey with their own distinctive characteristics.
This Double Oak is a whiskey Irish created by the union of two styles of whiskey i.e. Single Pot Still and Single Malt Irish Whiskey, aged in two types of wood, American oak ex Bourbon and French oak ex Cognac. Also, the whiskey it is distilled three times according to Irish tradition and is not filtered before being bottled. The Cognac barrels come from the Legaret family, owners of a distillery in France.
TASTE: Intense and spicy, notes of citrus and dried fruit, vanilla and spices to conclude.
