Yushan Single Malt Peated is a whisky sourced from Taiwan, a country that is starting to make a name for itself in the production of whisky thanks also to the Nantou distillery, from the Taipei headquarters. Nantou was born in 2008 as state property and in 2012 it passed into the hands of the group managed by Mr. Pan, growing in quality and quantity and starting to appear abroad. The distillery is located in the mountains of Taiwan and has a guaranteed supply of spring water, as well as undergoing the classic tropical climate which speeds up barrel refinement, having an annual evaporation percentage well above the Scottish threshold. This Yushan Single Malt Peated is the peated version of the whisky of nantou, with an aging in first-fill ex-bourbon oak barrels.
