Rum Zacapa Edición Negra Solera Gran Reserva + 2 Free Zacapa Glasses
700ml BOTTLE
Rum Zacapa Edición Negra Solera Gran Reserva is an assembly of rums from the first pressing of virgin sugar cane aged between 6 and 24 years with the Solera Method. The barrels used are oak barrels, American oak ex whiskey, European oak barrels ex Sherry Oloroso and casks where the best Pedro Ximenez wines have been aged. The particularity of the Edición Negra lies in the further refinement in doubly carbonized and smoked barrels ex whiskey American making this rum the most complex in terms of aromatic intensity of the entire Zacapa range. The altitude where the rum was then transferred to age plays a very important role in the development of the aromatic characteristics of Zacapa Rums; the fresh air and the humid climate avoid excessive perspiration allowing an exchange of oxygen which, much more slowly, ages Zacapa rums perfectly.
Also for the packaging of the Edición Negra Solera Gran Reserva the band of palm mat, dyed black, was used, which recalls the Mayan influence in the territory of Guatemala.
TASTE: Very complex and rich aroma; the woodsy notes and the notes of sweet spices and chocolate dominate. Smoking is definitely present with these returns of smoke and roasting.
AGING: Double charred and smoked American oak barrels.
