Zacapa La Doma is a special edition for the Heavenly Cask Collection range released in 2020 to honor one of the different barrels used in the aging of Zacapa Rums. The raw material that Zacapa uses for this rum is the first squeezing of virgin sugar cane.
Specifically, the Zacapa La Doma Rum is a blend of rums aged between 6 and 23 years with the Solera Method with a final passage in ex casks whiskey American. The barrels used for the Solera Zacapa Method are American oak barrels, charred American oak and ex Sherry Oloroso barrels. The peculiarity of Zacapa Rums lies in the aging through Solera Method, which takes place at 2.300 meters above sea level where, thanks to the cooler and more humid climate, the aging process is delayed making the Zacapa Rums unmistakable.
For the packaging of Rum Zacapa, hand-woven palm mat bands are used, which give the bottles the Guatemalan authenticity.
TASTE: Fruity character, vanilla, notes of pineapple and banana; rich with hints of wood.
