Single Malt Scotch Whisky with an impetuous and intense character, partially aged in French oak barrels, an experiment that began in 1999. Corryvrekan takes its name from the mythical whirlpool north of Islay, where only the bravest souls dare to venture.

Corryvreckan, the most famous whirlpool on the Isle of Islay, is one of whisky most intense of the island, in which the youthful vehemence joins the unique characteristics of the whisky island, with its unmistakable maritime note to dominate and the coastal, salt and balsamic lashings to give depth to the sip. A whisky which requires a careful approach also due to the important alcohol content but which will satisfy every palate, from the most expert to the novice of this world.

TASTE

Strong aromas of peat, embers with flavors of espresso, chocolate and pepper.

AGING

American ex Bourbon barrels and ex European Sherry barrels and partially aged in French oak barrels.
