Aberfeldy 16 Year Old Madeira Cask (1L) is a particular bottle because it is made up of hand-selected casks by Stephanie MacLeod, or the Mal Master of the Aberfeldy distillery. The Scottish Highlands distillery has always remained a step behind other companies in the area because it has always preferred to let its products speak first and also because in the past most of the whisky produced in Aberfeldy was intended for blended, leaving little room for expression to those who lead this distillery. Today the situation has changed and Aberfeldy releases several bottlings with the refined and elegant taste of company management, avoiding too many edges and creating a malt that is more than suitable for relaxation and meditation.

For this series called Madeira Cask, it was decided to give carte blanche to Stephanie MacLeod, head of malt in the company and the seventh person to fill this role in over 160 years of Aberfeldy's history: the recipe requires an aging of 15 years in a mix of ex bourbon and ex sherry barrels before one year of aging in ex Madeira barrels.
