Aberfeldy 21 Year Old Madeira Cask is an experiment that is nothing short of interesting for Aberfeldy, a distillery that has been making itself known in recent years for its decidedly high quality products. Wanting to seal this result, the distillery decided to release in 2018 a unique limited edition bottle with a special refinement, that is a finish of about a year in barrels that previously contained Madeira, to combine the classic notes of caramel and sugar of cane to the purity of the Aberfeldy distillate.

The Aberfeldy distillery is located in the Highlands, it was founded in 1896 by the Dewar family to facilitate the production of blended whisky, as was the custom at the time. The Bacardi group bought the distillery from Diageo in 1998 and since then the distillery has carved out an important space for itself thanks to well-calibrated releases well received by enthusiasts from all over the world, with an elegant and intense taste but never over the top, in capable of being appreciated by anyone.

TASTE: Soft and with notes of caramel, honey and cotton candy, then dried fruit, spices and wood.

AGING: Oak barrels with one year finish in ex Madeira barrels.
