 Arran Barrel Reserve (50ml) is a whisky quite young, offered only a few years ago by Arran, once the high standards of distillation that the company has achieved in just three decades of history have been reached. Arran was born in 1992 and slowly but surely climbed the initial difficulties, showing courage and above all tenacity. Today the core range of the distillery is wide and for a few years it has also been able to count on this Arran Barrel Reserve: the whisky in question is aged for an undeclared number of years (between five and ten, presumably) in first-fill casks that previously contained ex-bourbon, resulting in a whisky very little oriented by wood, where the technical expertise of distillation in Arran emerges even more clearly. A nice way to get to know this splendid distillery up close.

TASTE: enveloping and persuasive on citrus fruits, spices, honey and wood
