Arran Small Batch Peat, Sweet and Spice
Short description
CARTONED BOTTLE 700ml - Arran Small Batch Peat, Sweet And Spice is a whisky obtained by combining three Arran barrels of three different types, selected and combined for the Italian importer Beija-Flor.Whisky Arran Small Batch Peat, Sweet and Spice
700ml BOTTLE
Arran Small Batch Peat, Sweet And Spice is a whisky one of a kind, the result of a careful selection of only three barrels (numbers 800476 from 2006, 870 from 2007 and 1833 from 2011) chosen by James McTaggart, the master distiller of Arran, for the official importer of the distillery in Italy, or Beija-Flor. The three barrels are different not only for the year of distillation but also for the composition of the wood: while the first is a hogshead Sherry, the second is an ex Bourbon barrel while the third is a Bourbon barrel which contains 50 parts peated malt per million (an important number).
The resulting blend is therefore the daughter of three different ages, united in marriage for only 756 bottles, a real treat for connoisseurs and for those who do not want to miss the magic of the blend in limited quantities. Arran is a recent distillery located on the Scottish island of the same name, responsible for an unstoppable rise thanks to a respectable quality level.
TASTE: Intense and creamy, notes of cereals and peat, spices and dried fruit.
AGING: American ex Bourbon oak barrels and European ex Sherry oak barrels
