The Balvenie distillery was born in the Speyside region in 1892 thanks to the founder of Glenfiddich, William Grant. To date The Balvenie is one of the few distilleries located in the Scottish Highlands that still produces malt using its own barley.
The Balvenie Crafts Range is a limited edition bottling range that pays homage to the process behind the creation of a Scottish single malt.
Balvenie 12 Year Old Single Barrel is aged for 12 years in a first-fill barrel of American oak ex Bourbon to be subsequently bottled at an alcoholic strength of 47.8% vol; each bottle has the barrel and bottle number on the label. No more than 300 bottles are produced from a single barrel.
TASTE: Intense with deep notes of oak and vanilla. The finish is characterized by a persistent sweetness.
