Whisky Benriach 2013 Sherry Finish PX Wilson & Morgan
700ml BOTTLE
Benriach 2013 Sherry Finish PX Wilson & Morgan is a particular version of whisky coming from the Benriach distillery with the particularity of having been selected by one of the most famous Italian companies in the world for the great care given to each bottling, even those with less years on their shoulders like this one in particular.
The Benriach distillery is located in the Speyside area which tends to be the area with the most distilleries in all of Scotland, being essentially in the plains with an abundance of rivers suitable for supplying water to the production plants. In this area there is therefore the risk of being excluded from the names that matter, despite Benriach has built a very solid reputation that leads it to be a distillery dedicated to productive excellence.
In this case, two Benriach barrels (number 131 and 133) filled in 2013 and bottled in 2021, were selected by Wilson & Morgan who also proceeded to a final passage with a one year aging in an oak barrel which in previously contained first-pass Sherry Pedro Ximenez.
TASTE: Intense and spicy, white pepper and ripe fruit, cereals and citrus.
AGING: First-fill barrels of European oak ex Sherry Pedro Ximenez.
