Whisky Benromach 1975 Single Cask No. 2230
700ml BOTTLE
Benromach 1975 Single Cask No.2230 is not a whisky like all the others but a precise photograph of a moment in time: a dream to give away and to treat yourself to understand the value of time and how time can influence a simple distillate in a wooden barrel, abandoned for over four decades in a dark corner of a warehouse in Scotland. Benromach has resumed a winning path a few years ago thanks to a radical change that was highlighted first of all in the change of packaging that involved the entire range of products, coming to demonstrate the technical skill of the staff with releases like this, a real gem because of a very advanced age for any alcohol and for the rarity that is evident in the - inevitably - limited edition.
This single cask – number 2230 – was filled in 1975 and yielded only 219 bottles after at least 43 years of ageing. A gift that time has given us.
TASTE: intense and spicy, elegant on ripe fruit and red fruits, hazelnut and old wood
AGING: in ex Sherry oak barrels
Distillates | |
Finishing | Barrel refill ex Sherry Hogshead. |
AROMA | Honey and antique wood, wooden furniture and dried apricots, pastries and candied fruit |
Cartoned | Si |
