Short description
UNCROUNDED BOTTLE 700ml - Bladnoch 17 Year Old is a limited edition by Bladnoch designed to celebrate 200 years of activity of the small Lowland distillery.Whisky Bladnoch 17 Year Old
BOTTLE NOT CARTONED 700ml
Bladnoch 17 Year Old is a whisky one of a kind because it was designed to celebrate 200 years of operation of the Bladnoch distillery, a distillery that was little known until a few years ago because it was previously concentrated on supplying whisky of malt for different blended. For some years now the property has instead decided to focus on its own line of bottlings, proudly branded Bladnoch, among which this limited edition Bladnoch 17 Year Old stands out. The 6000 bottles put on the market are in fact linked to the birthday of the distillery, 200 years of production, with a whisky which passes a final part of aging in barrels that previously contained California red wine, a real rarity for those who want to try this type of aging and also for skeptics of this practice.
The final refinement - commonly called finish - is used to give further nuances to the whisky contained in the barrels, giving way to appreciate the whisky of Bladnoch with a few more details. Bladnoch is one of the few distilleries in the Lowlands, i.e. that part of Scotland located at the bottom of the imaginary line that connects Edinburgh and Glasgow, the two main cities of Scotland. The Lowlands aren't heavily populated with distilleries but the ones that are there are worth the rarity.
