Caol Ila 2010 Sassicaia Cask Gordon&Macphail
700ml BOTTLE
Caol Ila 2010 Sassicaia Cask Gordon&Macphail is a whisky Scottish fruit of the union of several extraordinary factors: the first is the origin, i.e. the Caol Ila distillery on the island of Islay in Scotland which, despite being a distillery of considerable size, manages to give great emotions especially in independent bottlings , thanks to a technique consolidated over decades of distillation. The second consideration lies instead in Gordon&MacPhail, that is, the company that selected this bottling, the single barrels united in marriage with the wisdom of those who have been doing this job for decades and who, thanks to their consolidated fame, can afford to choose the best barrels of each distillery he works with. To top it all off, the refinement takes place for eleven long years in ex-bourbon barrels and the last year is reserved for barriques that have contained Sassicaia, the most famous Italian wine, from Bolgheri and the Incisa della Rocchetta family, an iconic wine and timeless that since the 1968 vintage has delighted the palates of the world and has made Italian stubbornness known to the rest of the globe, including skeptics. What to add? To be tried without any ifs or buts.
