Online rum sales Caroni
Caroni
Established in 1923 on the site of the old Caroni sugar factory with both column and vase stills, Caroni produced rums notable for a characteristic heavy profile which were supplied to the British Navy. Despite protests, it was sold by the Trinidad government to Angostura in 2001, only to be closed in 2002.
The remaining stocks were acquired by Velier, a Genoese company that has brought to the fore a rum that is now extremely rare and highly regarded by admirers from all over the world, with many expressions that cannot be found since collectors exceed the number of bottles released.
