Whisky Chieftain's Dailuaine 12 Year Old 1999
700ml BOTTLE
Chieftain's Dailuaine 12 Year Old 1999 is a whisky of the recent past which offers the opportunity to try a product first of all extremely limited and then selected with enormous care by Chieftain's, that is a high-level range of the independent bottler Ian MacLeod. Chieftain's has been involved since 1963 in selecting and marketing single casks of whisky from various Scottish and non-Scottish distilleries, with the particularity of not cold filtering and without the addition of caramel to alter the color, trying to keep the quality found in the original barrel unchanged.
In this case this Dailuaine comes from two sister barrels, numbers 90631 and 90632, aged for twelve years in traditional ex bourbon barrels before a final passage in French oak barrels to add roundness to the palate and broaden the olfactory bouquet. This version is limited to just 708 bottles in total.
