Whisky Clydeside Stobcross
700ml BOTTLE
Clydeside Stobcross is not a whisky like the others but it is the first public release and fully managed by the Clydeside distillery, owned by the Morrison Glasgow Distillers group. The recent opening took place in 2011 and since then the release of this first distillation vague ten years of trials, tests and refinements of the structure have passed, to make the raw materials, 100% Scottish barley, at their best. Tim Morrison is the founder of Clydeside, even if fate has played its part: in 1877 Morrison & Mason had part of the Glasgow pier built and, among other things, set up the pump room to lower and raise a bridge that it guaranteed access to the docks and port of Glasgow. Today the area is practically completely abandoned and Tim Morrison - who is none other than the great-grandson of John, builder of the port - has decided to take over a part of it to turn it into a distillery. The malt in question is therefore the first bottling and ages for an undeclared period but around four years in both American and European oak barrels, giving the consumer the opportunity to realize the goodness of the whisky in purity and youth.
