Whisky Copperworks Release No.045 Sherry Cask

Copperworks Release No.045 Sherry Cask is a recent release by Cooperworks, a Seattle distillery in the state of Washington which since 2013 offers a rather personal version of the whiskey stars and stripes. The company took full cue from the Scottish tradition and decided to start from four Scottish stills to mark this element. This Copperworks Release No.045 Sherry Cask is yet another piece of closeness between the two countries: on the one hand only malted barley was used, a rather rare variety called Fritz, and on the other hand the refinement of all six casks make up this batch lasts for three years in the canonical virgin American oak barrels with the addition of a part of whiskey aged in a cask that has previously held Manzanilla sherry, as is often the case in Scotland.
