Distilled in Speyside's Classic Malt Distillery, Cragganmore is the sixth bottling of this series. It comes from a mix of three types of barrels chosen for the aromatic notes they develop: reused and rejuvenated barrels, the Hogsheads (225/250 liters) of American oak and the Butts (475/500 liters) of European oak ex Bodega. Natural Cask Strength.
TASTE: Slightly fresh on the nose, with a gentle trace of beeswax, orange and mandarin peel, ripe fruit and notes of malt. Decisive in the mouth, slightly fatty: the buttery notes of cream mix with the notes of cocoa and licorice. The spices, nutmeg and cinnamon then give way to sweet and fruity notes. The finish is reminiscent of a panettone rich in candied fruit and almonds. In the mouth, flavors of ripe fruit, cedar and bergamot develop.
AGING: American ex Bourbon and European ex Sherry barrels.
