700ml BOTTLE
Single Malt Scotch Whisky produced by Cragganmore in the Speyside region for the Diageo 'The Distillers Edition' 2021 range of special editions. This 12 year old expression of Cragganmore undergoes a second maturation in Port casks, bringing good complexity and enhancing the smoky aromas and scents of the whisky.
Distillers Editions are Single Malts that undergo a particular maturation process. Each of them, after having spent the normal period of aging in American oak barrels, undergoes a second (or "double") aging in a barrel that previously contained a fortified wine. The duration of this second maturation depends on the moment in which the aroma of the distillate is perfectly developed; generally between 6 and 12 months.
TASTE: Sweet, with hints of fruit and smoke; there are notes of malt and oak: In the long and dry finish there are notes of banana and cocoa.
AGING: American oak barrels ex Bourbon and barrels ex Porto.
