Glasgow, the second most important city in Scotland after the magnificent Edinburgh, represents a reliable destination for tourism, presenting local beauties of undoubted value. However, distillation has remained outside the city limits for over a century, preferring more isolated places with wild raw materials to draw from.

In 2014, however, something changed: Glasgow Distillery Company decided to open a factory on the ashes of an old city distillery in the Dundashill area, a distillery founded in 1770 and closed in the early 1900s. , to date, it is the only distillery in the city of Glasgow: a real pride.

Il whisky which takes the name of Glasgow 1770 The Original already from the name represents the flagship spirit of this company: the year of foundation of the first version of the distillery is clearly present on the label, as well as the name of the city of production. The distillery has two copper stills called Tara and Mhairi, while the water comes from the Loch Katrine spring. The barrels used for aging are ex bourbon with a final passage in virgin oak barrels.

TASTE: Intense and multifaceted, spicy notes of white pepper and ginger accompany ripe fruit and notes of cereals, more honey and custard. Citrus and ripe fruit.

AGING: First fill American oak ex Bourbon barrels and virgin oak barrels.
