Whisky Glasgow 1770 Triple Distilled Release No. 1
CARTONED BOTTLE 500 ml
The Glasgow distillery is, to date, the only distillery founded in the surroundings of the important Scottish town in the last hundred years: the date shown on the label, the year 1770, refers to the first version of the distillery founded in Dundashill in that year and remained productive until the beginning of the 1900'. From that moment on, the city had to wait until 2014 to return to having an active distillery, a distillery that is slowly expanding its number of references with products that are gradually more and more refined, going to increase the depth of this whisky very peculiar.
This whisky has two evident peculiarities: the first is related to the triple distillation production process, against the usual two distillation steps that normally take place for the Scotch Whisky. The other peculiarity is related to the refinement that takes place in virgin oak barrels, while the law provides for the use of barrels already used to refine other spirits, wine or whisky of any kind, or otherwise. In this case the virgin oak is a choice that affects the whisky with some significance.
TASTE: Here too elegance dominates, with graceful notes of cereals and honey, caramel and berries, a touch of dried fruit and a spicy and enveloping finish.
AGING: Virgin oak barrels.
